Terms of use

Draft for review. This page describes how EVFolk works today. It is being reviewed before the public launch and may change; we will update the date below when it does. Last updated 14 October 2026.

The short version: be kind, post true things, don't misuse the service, and remember the numbers are estimates.

1. Who we are and what this covers

These terms are between you and Appentium LLC ("EVFolk", "we"). They cover the EVFolk app and the website at evfolk.com. By creating an account or using them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy and Community guidelines.

2. Your account

3. Estimates, not advice

Calculators, savings, CO2, range, charging time and cost figures, and maintenance and document reminders are estimates based on what you enter and on public data of varying accuracy. They are not professional advice. Do not rely on them for safety. Ask a licensed electrician before installing or changing a charger at home, follow your car's handbook, and check a reminder against your own records. A reminder may fail to arrive.

4. Charger information

Charger locations come from OpenStreetMap and from EVFolk members, and can be out of date or wrong. Always check that a charger suits your car before relying on it. Check-ins and photos are opinions and observations of other members, not statements by EVFolk.

5. What you post

6. What you must not do

7. Your data

You can export your data and delete your account from the app at any time. See the deletion page and the Privacy policy for what happens to it.

8. The service

EVFolk is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running but cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or that data will never be lost: keep your own copies of documents that matter. We may change or stop features. If we end the service we will give you notice and a chance to export your data.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by relying on estimates, third-party data or other members' content, and our total liability to you for anything connected with EVFolk is limited to the extent the law allows [cap to be set with legal review]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the rights the law gives you that cannot be waived.

10. Ending things

You can stop using EVFolk and delete your account whenever you like. We can suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will say why unless the law stops us. You can appeal by emailing hello@evfolk.com.

11. Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using EVFolk after that, you accept the new terms.

12. Law and contact

[Governing law and venue to be confirmed with legal review.] Questions: hello@evfolk.com.
